Sometimes you take a leap of faith because something in your soul tells you to...even when it's the scariest thing in the world.
Moving to Las Vegas
In April of 2017, I took a risk and jumped on a plane from Tri-Cities, WA to Las Vegas, NV for the job trial of my dreams. 3 days later, I was pursing a career that would forever change my life.
Growing up, I visited Las Vegas numerous times with my family and was always a huge fan of the city's high energy. When I received my first job in Broadcast Television, I would attend work conferences, and each time, I imagined what it would be like living in the entertainment capital.
When the life I had envisioned for so many years presented itself before my eyes, it was surreal. I had to sacrifice all that was familiar to face a world of the unknown and it was one of the scariest, loneliest, most confusing things that I'd ever experienced.
I always felt as though I did it for a greater purpose, as though it was my calling.
Living the Vision
Just like that, 5 years has gone by. I miss my old home and the support system that has always given me courage to pursue life’s journey.
Courage is what led me to today. A lot of the experiences that I used to dream about have become a reality because of taking risk and facing the vulnerability necessary to execute on my greatest visions. My career has allowed me to travel around the world and work with brands across the globe that inspire me. Most importantly, through my passion and persistence,I have gained an invaluable amount of education that has helped me to grow and become a better person. My network has pushed me to think with an imagination I had never tapped into before which made me realize my industry is that of serving others.
Visionary Publicity Launch
All of this has lead me to where I am... starting my own business, something I always envisioned myself doing, but never knew if I would have the courage to do.
It is now, that I take a hard look at myself and make a promise to give life to the ideas that have formed within. I make a promise to start creating again, to use my knowledge for a greater purpose, and create a company that amplifies the voices of those working to innovate and create positive impact. My vision is to share my experiences, and those I connect with, in hopes of creating relatable content that entertains and teaches valuable life lessons.
Going down this new entrepreneurial path has me reliving the same emotions that consumed my body when I moved to Vegas. I have to tell myself to ignore my limiting beliefs and embrace the feeling of the unknown.
"All good things lay on the other side of fear", is a motto I am learning to live by.
The irony is, this new chapter of life comes at the same time as the anniversary of my move. I am so excited to see what the next 5 years hold, as I plan to continue growing as an individual and use what I learn to serve others.
